The Calloway House started as a vision of the late James Calloway. Mr Calloway was an avid supporter of local AIDS Service Organizations, (ASO's) and he gave so much of himself to the local clients of several organizations. James lost his battle to AIDS in 2002, but his dream lives on through The Calloway House. James lived by the words, "If I can help somebody as I pass along, then my living shall not be in vein."
Through the tireless efforts of a few members of our community, The Calloway House finally came to fruition in 2009. It is the mission of The Calloway House to provide quality case mangement and hospice support to the local HIV community. It is our ultimate goal to provide hospice support in a free standing facility.
With the advent of The Calloway House, Hampton Roads has a viable alternative to quality individualized care and we are the only ASO providing Hospice support in Hampton Roads. The Calloway House is excited to bring a fresh and personalized approach to quality case management and support to our friends affected by HIV/AIDS in Hampton Roads.
